Hindustan Zinc Shares Surge 3% as Silver Futures Smash Record High Near ₹2.64 Lakh/kg; Silver ETFs Climb Up to 4%

Shares of

HINDZINC
c Ltd jumped over 3% in early trading today, reaching an intraday high of ₹625, as silver prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) hit fresh lifetime highs amid robust industrial demand and safe-haven buying. The rally in silver directly benefits Hindustan Zinc, India's largest and only primary silver producer, which derives a significant portion of its earnings from the white metal. The company is among the top global silver producers, with annual output exceeding 700 tonnes and plans to expand capacity further. Silver Futures Hit All-Time Highs MCX silver futures for March expiry soared nearly 5% to a record ₹2,63,996 per kg, up ₹11,271 in a single session. May and July contracts also touched lifetime highs at ₹2,70,054/kg and ₹2,77,924/kg, respectively. The surge reflects strong industrial consumption in solar panels, electric vehicles, and electronics, coupled with ongoing supply constraints and geopolitical uncertainties.
