In a landmark move to supercharge its green energy ambitions, Inox Clean Energy Ltd has inked definitive agreements to snap up Vibrant Energy's expansive 1,337 MW renewable power portfolio, valued at approximately Rs 5,000 crore according to industry insiders.
The Noida-headquartered arm of the INOXGFL Group, which did not officially reveal the transaction price, confirmed the acquisition from Australia-based Macquarie Corporate Holdings Pty Ltd and fellow stakeholders. This strategic buyout catapults Inox's presence in India's burgeoning renewables sector, blending Vibrant's diversified independent power producer (IPP) assets into its growing lineup.
Announced on Sunday, the portfolio spans solar and wind projects humming across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. Of the total capacity, a robust 800 MW is already up and running, promising immediate revenue streams while the balance gears up for commissioning.
