Lenskart Shares Drop 2% After ₹2,468-Crore Block Deal

LENSKART
Lenskart Solutions fell over 2% on Monday after a large block deal saw 3.6 crore shares, representing 2.07% of the company’s equity, change hands for approximately ₹2,468 crore. The transaction added to a series of significant stake sales by existing shareholders in recent weeks and months. Lenskart has witnessed multiple large block deals since the expiry of its IPO lock-in period earlier in the year, as pre-IPO investors have progressively reduced holdings. Such deals typically create short-term supply pressure on the stock as a sizeable volume of shares enters the market, often at a discount to the prevailing price. Market participants noted that the latest sale continues a pattern seen in August and earlier periods, when institutional investors offloaded stakes through similar exchange transactions. Despite the frequent stake sales, the eyewear retailer has attracted strong interest from both domestic and foreign institutional buyers in previous deals, reflecting ongoing confidence in its business model and growth trajectory. Lenskart, which listed in late 2025, has seen its stock rise substantially from the IPO issue price amid expanding operations and improving financial performance.
