The $2 billion transaction with international and Indian institutional investors reduces Singtel's stake to 28.3%, valued at S$48 billion, and is expected to generate a S$1.4 billion gain. Singtel's CFO, Arthur Lang, stated the move optimizes their portfolio and supports Airtel's growth in India's digital economy. This follows Airtel's recent announcement of a 432% jump in net profit and a 27% rise in revenue for Q4FY25, alongside an improved ARPU of ₹245 and network expansion efforts.
