Stock Markets Closed Today for Guru Nanak Jayanti

The Bombay Stock Exchange (

) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain shut today on account of Prakash Gurpurb Sri Guru Nanak Dev (Guru Nanak Jayanti). Trading across all segments—including equities, derivatives, SLBs, currency, and interest rate derivatives—will be suspended for the full day. The commodity derivatives segment will also stay closed in the morning session (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), but will resume in the evening from 5:00 PM to 11:30/11:55 PM. Normal trading will resume on Thursday, November 6. On Tuesday, November 4, the Nifty closed below 25,600, dragged by broad-based selling, with only telecom and consumer durables showing resilience.
