ea (Vi) rallied sharply on Monday, climbing nearly 5% to an intraday high of Rs 11.62 per share—the highest level since January 9 this year. The gains ended a three-session losing streak and came amid positive developments, including fresh stake purchases by promoter Kumar Mangalam Birla and an upgraded rating from brokerage firm Emkay Global. Market data reveals that Kumar Mangalam Birla acquired a total of 4.09 crore shares through open market transactions between January 30 and February 1. This included 2.21 crore shares on January 30 and 1.88 crore shares on February 1. Valued at the previous closing price of Rs 11.12 per share, these purchases are worth approximately Rs 45.48 crore. The buys represent about 0.03–0.04% of the company's outstanding equity and signal growing confidence from the Aditya Birla Group chairman in the telecom operator's prospects. As per the latest shareholding pattern as of December 31, 2025, Kumar Mangalam Birla held a modest 0.02% stake (around 1.94 crore shares), while promoter and promoter groups collectively owned 25.57%.
