* Bank frauds worth ₹1.42 lakh crore: The Finance Ministry informed Parliament that commercial banks and All-India Financial Institutions reported frauds aggregating ₹1,42,112 crore over the last five financial years, while recoveries from fraud accounts were only ₹6,389 crore (~4.5%).
