is set to commence operations at its upcoming manufacturing facilities focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), UPS systems and lithium-ion battery solutions, with operations targeted from September 25, 2026. The key expansion includes a 1.2 GWh annual-capacity BESS manufacturing facility at Reliance MET City, Jhajjar, Haryana, aimed at addressing growing demand from commercial & industrial as well as utility-scale energy-storage applications. The Jhajjar facility represents a strategic move for Prostarm beyond its traditional power-backup business into the rapidly expanding energy-storage segment. The company has earmarked approximately ₹25 crore of capex for the 1.2 GWh BESS facility. Its existing portfolio already includes UPS systems, inverters and lithium-ion battery packs, while the new capacity is expected to increase its ability to offer integrated energy-storage solutions. The manufacturing expansion could also provide greater in-house capabilities and support scalability as demand for BESS rises alongside renewable-energy deployment and grid-balancing requirements. Prostarm has additionally been developing a new UPS manufacturing facility at Bakrol, Gujarat, strengthening its manufacturing footprint and reducing dependence on imported finished products over time. Management has indicated that the Gujarat facility is expected to commence commercial operations during Q2 FY27. Overall, the commencement of these facilities marks an important capacity-expansion phase for Prostarm, with the company looking to strengthen its presence across BESS, UPS and lithium-battery solutions. The key factors to monitor will be the actual ramp-up of production, capacity utilisation, order wins, and the pace at which the new facilities contribute to revenue and margins.
