Sammaan Capital Raises ₹775 Crore Through NCDs

SAMMAANCAP
has allotted ₹775 crore worth of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, strengthening the company’s access to institutional debt funding. The fund-raising is expected to support the company’s ongoing financing requirements, including expansion of its lending operations, refinancing of existing liabilities and general corporate purposes, subject to the terms of the issue. NCDs provide a predictable source of capital while allowing the company to diversify its funding mix beyond traditional bank borrowings. The fund infusion comes at a time when Sammaan Capital is focused on scaling its housing finance and lending franchise, with particular emphasis on underserved and emerging segments. Additional debt capital can provide greater balance-sheet flexibility and help the company maintain adequate liquidity as its loan book expands. From an earnings perspective, the key factors to monitor will be the cost of funds, incremental disbursement growth, net interest margins, asset quality and credit costs. If the funds are deployed efficiently, higher borrowing capacity could support loan-book growth and improve operating leverage over time. However, investors should also track leverage levels and funding costs, as higher interest expenses could weigh on profitability if lending yields do not adequately compensate for the additional cost of capital. Overall, the NCD allotment is positive from a liquidity and funding-diversification perspective, while its ultimate impact on earnings will depend on deployment and borrowing economics.
