Suzlon Begins ₹10,500 Crore Wind Energy Project in AP

SUZLON
has commenced work on a major 1,325 MW wind energy project in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion of its renewable energy portfolio. The project entails an investment of approximately ₹10,500 crore and is expected to play an important role in strengthening the state’s clean-energy infrastructure. The large-scale project is expected to support the growing demand for renewable electricity while contributing to India’s broader transition towards cleaner sources of energy. With wind power emerging as a key component of India’s renewable energy mix, the development could further strengthen Suzlon’s position in the domestic wind energy market. Beyond its energy-generation potential, the project is expected to have a positive economic impact on the region, with around 1,600 jobs likely to be created. The investment could also generate opportunities across construction, project development, operations, maintenance and related services. The commencement of the project highlights Suzlon’s focus on scaling up its wind energy capabilities and capitalising on India’s increasing renewable energy requirements. The 1,325 MW capacity addition represents a substantial project for the company and reinforces the growing momentum in India’s wind energy sector.
