IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd. (NSE: IndiaMART) reported its financial results for the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2026 (Q2 FY26), highlighting a mixed performance characterized by robust revenue growth offset by a significant decline in profitability and margin contraction.
Financial Highlights:
Revenue Growth: Revenue from operations demonstrated a healthy rise of 12.5% year-over-year (YoY), reaching ₹391 crore, up from ₹347.7 crore in Q2 FY25. This growth was primarily attributed to sustained higher customer collections and an expanded supplier base.
Net Profit Decline: Despite the increase in revenue, Net Profit saw a substantial YoY decline of 38.8%, falling to ₹83 crore from ₹135 crore in the prior-year period.
Margin Contraction: The dip in profitability was driven by softer margins. EBITDA decreased by 3.4% YoY to ₹130 crore (from ₹134.6 crore), leading to an EBITDA margin contraction to 33.2% from 38.7%. Management cited higher investments in product and technology enhancements as the primary factor for the reduced margin.
Customer Collections: Collections from customers grew by a strong 14% YoY to ₹406 crore, indicating solid underlying demand and customer engagement.
Operational Highlights:
Supplier Base Expansion: The number of paying suppliers reached 2.22 lakh, with a net addition of 4,000 during the quarter. Total supplier storefronts grew 6% YoY to 8.6 million.
Business Enquiries: Unique business enquiries saw a 12% YoY increase, totaling 31 million, underscoring the platform's sustained relevance as a B2B marketplace.
Management Outlook:
CEO Dinesh Agarwal reiterated the company's commitment to strategic investment, focusing on enhancing user experience, improving engagement, and driving conversions. The management remains optimistic regarding long-term value creation, underpinned by a sound business model and the increasing digital adoption by businesses.#FundamentalViews#Post-ClosingCommentary#HiddenGems#EquityResearch#Budget2025
