!Anmol Industries Files for ₹1,800 Crore IPO; Profit Jumps Nearly Fivefold Kolkata-based biscuit maker Anmol Industries has filed draft documents for a proposed ₹1,800 crore IPO, returning to the primary market after its earlier listing plan in 2018. The proposed issue will comprise entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS) by the Baijnath Choudhary & Family Trust, which owns around 84% of the company. Since the IPO does not include a fresh issue of shares, Anmol Industries will not receive any proceeds from the offering. Established in 1994, the company manufactures biscuits, cookies and cakes, with a portfolio of around 70 brands and exports to 31 countries. For the year ended March 31, the company's net profit rose nearly fivefold to ₹191 crore, while revenue increased 28% to around ₹2,100 crore. The latest IPO filing comes as activity in India's primary market gains momentum after a relatively slower first half of the year. Anmol Industries had earlier proposed a ₹750 crore IPO in 2018 and obtained regulatory approval, but the planned listing was subsequently withdrawn.
