Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed lower on Tuesday, as investor sentiment remained wary following U.S. President Donald Trump’s directive to evacuate Tehran amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran. Sensex Today :Ten out of thirteen key sectoral indices opened in the green, though gains remained limited. Broader markets, including smallcaps and midcaps, recorded a modest rise of approximately 0.1%. Meanwhile, U.S. stock futures declined slightly, and crude oil prices ticked higher as the Israel-Iran conflict stretched into its fifth consecutive day, heightening concerns of a broader regional escalation. Reports suggest that President Trump cut short his appearance at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada, citing rising instability in the Middle East. He also reiterated that Iran missed a critical opportunity by refusing the U.S.-proposed nuclear deal.
