Stock Market LIVE Updates, Friday, February 13, 2026: Indian equity benchmarks deepened their losses on Friday, mirroring weak global cues, as the ongoing tech selloff continued to weigh on investor sentiment. The Nifty 50 was trading lower by 1 per cent, or 258.35 points, at 25,548.15. The BSE Sensex was down 0.99 per cent, or 827.29 points, at 82,847.63. The India VIX — the volatility gauge — surged 4 per cent. On the sectoral front, the Nifty Metal index led the downturn with losses exceeding 3 per cent. Meanwhile, after plunging more than 5 per cent earlier in the session, the Nifty IT index recovered part of its losses but remained down over 2 per cent, dragged lower by heavyweights such as
