Tata Motors Subsidiary Acquires 26% Stake

has acquired a 26% stake in Mateshwari E-Smart Mobility, marking the group’s entry into electric bus operations and maintenance services. The investment expands Tata Motors’ presence beyond electric vehicle manufacturing and into the supporting services ecosystem for electric public transport. Mateshwari E-Smart Mobility will provide a platform for participation in the operations and maintenance of electric bus fleets, an area expected to play an important role as electric mobility adoption expands across India. The transaction also strengthens Tata Motors’ exposure to the growing electric commercial vehicle ecosystem and could support opportunities across fleet management, vehicle operations and after-sales services.
