BHEL doubles quarterly profit as revenue rises 24%!!

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited reported a strong performance for Q2 FY27, with consolidated net profit rising approximately 119% year-on-year to ₹820.94 crore, compared with ₹374.89 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 23.8% to ₹9,300.35 crore. EBITDA rose around 76.6% to ₹1,026 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 11%, compared with 7.7% a year earlier. Alongside its results, BHEL approved a capital investment of approximately ₹500 crore to add thermal and nuclear equipment manufacturing facilities at its Haridwar plant. Despite the strong results, the stock came under selling pressure during trading on 15 October. This is a reminder that good financial results do not always lead to immediate share-price gains. BHEL supplies equipment and engineering services to power generation and industrial customers. Its results are relevant to investors tracking India's power infrastructure and capital expenditure cycle.
