PRE MARKET REPORT-----> Gift Nifty Signals a Gap-Up Start, But Will Nifty Finally Cross 24,000? Crude Oil Remains the Biggest Risk.

Indian markets are set for a positive start as Gift Nifty indicates a gap-up opening, supported by strong overnight global cues and buying by FIIs in the cash market. However, one factor continues to demand attention—crude oil. After falling nearly 3.5% in the previous session, crude has rebounded almost 4% in early morning trade, making it the biggest variable for today's market. ##Global Cues Positive Overnight Signals • Gift Nifty indicates a gap-up opening. • US markets closed in positive territory. • IT and Banking ADRs traded higher overnight, indicating supportive global sentiment for Indian technology and financial stocks. Overall, global cues remain constructive for today's session. ------>Crude Oil: The Biggest Variable Crude oil corrected sharply by nearly 3.5% in the previous session, providing relief to emerging markets. However, in early morning trade, crude has bounced back by almost 4%. ##FII / DII Activity (28 July 2026) Cash Market • FII: +₹755.33 crore • DII: +₹1,664.16 crore FII Derivatives • Index Futures: -₹2,601.31 crore • Index Options: -₹30,784.43 crore • Stock Futures: +₹2,774.03 crore • Stock Options: -₹414.24 crore FIIs turned net buyers in the cash market, while continuing to build selective positions in stock futures. ##Key Levels to Watch Immediate Resistance: 24,000 Next Upside Zone: 24,300–24,400 The 24,000 mark remains the most important hurdle for Nifty. ##Sectors in Focus Information Technology/ BANKING Positive ADR performance could lift sentiment for: $INFY $WIPRO $LTM $HDFCBANK $ICICIBANK --------->Bottom Line Today's opening looks positive, but the real test begins at 24,000. If Banking and IT stocks sustain the momentum and crude oil fails to extend its rebound, Nifty could attempt a breakout towards 24,300–24,400. However, if crude continues to rise sharply, it may cap gains despite supportive global cues.
