WHY ORACLE CRACK -6%---> REASON COULD BLOW YOUR MIND
Indian IT stocks came under pressure today, with
OFSS
Software (OFSS) emerging as one of the biggest losers.
OFSS shares fell more than 6% in early trade, while Wipro, Infosys, Coforge and Mphasis also traded lower.
But the bigger question is:
Why is Oracle's debt becoming a concern for Indian IT stocks?
----->OFSS Falls Over 6%
Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) declined around 6.4% in early trade, making it one of the weakest names in the IT pack.
The immediate trigger was renewed concern over the financial position of its parent company, Oracle Corporation, particularly its aggressive spending on AI infrastructure.
OFSS is a majority-owned subsidiary of Oracle Corporation, which makes developments at the parent company important for investors tracking OFSS.
---->The $18 Billion Debt Concern
The key issue revolves around Project Jupiter, a massive AI data-centre project in New Mexico linked to Oracle's agreement with OpenAI.
Around $18 billion of loans tied to the project have reportedly come under pressure.
According to Reuters, the loans were being quoted at around 89–91 cents on the dollar, while efforts to distribute the debt to a wider group of investors have reportedly stalled.

Oracle's AI infrastructure expansion is extremely capital intensive.
----->IT Stocks Face Another Headwind
The Oracle-related concerns are coming at a time when Indian IT stocks are already dealing with another major uncertainty — higher H-1B visa costs.
The NIFTY IT index fell around 1.3% intraday, while OFSS, Coforge, Wipro and Infosys came under pressure.
