Defence Ministry Boosts Military Logistics with ₹697 Crore Contracts

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed ₹697.35 crore contracts with Action Construction Equipment (ACE) and JCB India to procure 1,868 Rough Terrain Fork Lift Trucks (RTFLTs) for the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. These trucks, manufactured under the ‘Buy (Indian)’ initiative, will enhance logistics efficiency while supporting MSMEs and job creation, reinforcing India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission. Additionally, the MoD awarded a ₹1,220.12 crore contract to Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) for 149 Software Defined Radios (SDRs), strengthening high-speed data sharing and secure communications for the Indian Coast Guard.
