EDELWEISS
has initiated strategic measures to unlock value by pursuing both a minority stake sale and a public listing across two of its key businesses. The company has appointed Nomura to manage the sale of a 25%–30% stake in Edelweiss Mutual Fund, attracting interest from prominent global asset managers such as Fidelity, Capital Group, State Street Global, Northern Trust, and Legal & General. Parallelly, its subsidiary Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors (EAAA) plans to refile the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI for an initial public offering (IPO) of up to ₹1,500 crore, structured as an offer for sale (OFS) by Edelweiss Securities & Investments. The IPO is expected to be launched by December 2025, subject to market conditions and regulatory approvals. These developments indicate a focused approach toward capital mobilisation and restructuring of group assets to potentially enhance long-term shareholder value.
