Kalpataru Projects secures ₹2,225 crore in new orders
Kalpataru Projects International Limited secured new orders worth ₹2,225 crore, taking its FY27 order inflows to around ₹20,000 crore.
The company received orders and letters of comfort worth ₹2,031 crore in its power transmission and distribution business across India and international markets. Its Swedish subsidiary, Linjemontage i Grästorp AB, secured an additional order worth ₹194 crore.
Managing Director and CEO Manish Mohnot said FY27 order inflows have grown over 30% compared with the previous year. The new wins reflect continued spending on power transmission infrastructure, grid expansion and renewable energy integration.
My view: The key number is the 30% growth in order inflows, rather than the ₹2,225 crore announcement alone. Strong order intake improves revenue visibility, but the benefit to earnings will depend on execution timelines, project margins and working capital requirements. Transmission and distribution projects can support long-term growth, although order wins do not immediately translate into profits or cash flows.
Despite the announcement, shares traded at ₹1,411.50 on the NSE, down ₹6.60 or 0.47%, after giving up early gains. This suggests the order announcement alone was not enough to sustain buying interest during the session. The next factors to watch are quarterly execution, margin performance and further order inflows.
My stance: The order pipeline is encouraging, but I would look for sustained execution and stable margins before drawing a stronger conclusion on the stock. The ₹1,411.50 price level is a reference point, not a confirmed technical support level.
