MARUTI
is preparing to strengthen its position in India’s passenger vehicle market with three major launches expected this year, an updated Brezza, a next-generation WagonR, and a new 7-seater SUV.
The Brezza facelift is likely to receive refreshed styling, upgraded interiors, new technology features, and possible powertrain improvements, while continuing to compete strongly in the compact SUV segment where it sold around 1,80,104 units in FY26.
The new-generation WagonR is also expected to arrive with a complete design and feature overhaul after the current model recorded sales of nearly 1,80,134 units in FY26, following 1,98,451 units in FY25 and over 2 lakh units in FY24 and FY23.
Alongside these updates, the company is reportedly planning to enter the growing 3-row SUV segment, targeting rivals like the Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra Scorpio.
With SUVs now contributing nearly 57% of India’s passenger vehicle volumes, Maruti Suzuki is clearly focusing on expanding its SUV portfolio and strengthening its presence across high-growth categories while maintaining its dominance in the mass-market segment.
