NTPC Brings Full 23 MW Solapur Solar PV Project Online

NTPC
has completed and commissioned the second and final phase of its Solapur Solar PV Project in Maharashtra, taking the full project capacity to 23 MW. In its regulatory update, the company said the remaining 13 MW portion has been declared commercially operational from December 25, 2025, marking the project’s full transition into operations. The commissioning modestly adds to NTPC’s overall generation base, lifting installed and commercial capacity to 60,796 MW on a standalone basis and 85,623 MW at the group level. The update signals continued execution on incremental renewable additions within NTPC’s larger portfolio, with the disclosure framed as an operational milestone rather than a strategic shift. On financial performance cited alongside the project update, NTPC reported Q2 standalone net profit of ₹4,653 crore versus ₹4,648 crore a year earlier. Revenue was ₹39,166 crore compared with ₹40,337 crore year-on-year, while EBITDA rose 3.4% to ₹10,019 crore and margins improved to 25.6% from 24%.
