Power Grid Secures New Rajasthan Transmission Project to Strengthen India's Power Network

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has secured another strategic infrastructure project after emerging as the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process for developing an inter-state transmission system at the 765/400/220kV Fatehgarh-II Power Station in Rajasthan. The company received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on July 17, 2026, and will execute the project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The scope of work includes the installation and commissioning of two synchronous condensers (SynCon) along with the associated bays, which are expected to enhance grid stability and improve the reliability of interstate power transmission. While the financial value of the project and execution timeline have not been disclosed, this order further reinforces Power Grid's role in strengthening India's power transmission infrastructure and supporting the country's growing electricity demand through efficient grid expansion. $POWERGRID Disclaimer: This post is for informational purposes only and not a recommendation to buy or sell any securities.
