PRAJIND
is set to work with Paraguay-based Enersur SA to develop a fully integrated biorefinery project in South America. The agreement was signed during the visit of Paraguayan President Santiago Peña Palacios to India from June 2–4, 2025. As part of the partnership, Praj will help design and execute a modern plant that will produce ethanol and by-products like DDGS (distillers dried grains with solubles), corn oil, biogas, biobitumen, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Earlier, Praj also received a contract to build a 600 m³/day anhydrous ethanol plant in Canindeyú, Paraguay, using corn as the main input. The new plant is expected to be fully operational by October 2026. Praj’s responsibilities include licensing technology, engineering, supplying key equipment, and offering on-ground support. This project highlights Praj’s growing role in global clean energy and its contribution to sustainable development in Latin America.
