RailTel Secures ₹32.74 Crore Railway Signalling Order While Arbitration Proceedings Continue
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from North Central Railway for a railway signalling project valued at ₹32.74 crore (including taxes). The order involves improving the reliability of track circuits by deploying Multi Section Digital Axle Counters (MSDAC) alongside the existing Digital Track Circuit Controllers (DCTC) across 14 stations in the ALJN–DER section of the Prayagraj Division. The project is scheduled for completion by January 23, 2028, with the work order received on July 23, 2026, at 1:30 PM. The company clarified that the contract is a domestic order, is not a related-party transaction, and that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity. Separately, RailTel disclosed an ongoing arbitration with 3i Infotech Ltd related to the Wi-Fi Monetisation Project, where the claimant has sought ₹60.26 crore, while RailTel has filed a counterclaim of ₹91.34 crore. The company stated that the dispute arose after the termination of the contract in accordance with the tender terms, and the final financial impact will depend on the arbitration outcome.
