RailTel Secures ₹63.55 Cr Orders in Madhya Pradesh & Odisha
has secured two major contracts worth ₹63.55 crore, reinforcing its presence in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. The company bagged a ₹37.18 crore contract from the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd for system integration, state data centre expansion, and setting up a disaster recovery centre, with completion targeted by June 27, 2029. Additionally, RailTel won a ₹26.37 crore contract from the Cuttack Development Authority to install 14 billboard system units, covering hardware, AMC, and command control support across Cuttack city, expected to be completed by July 11, 2025.
Financially, RailTel posted ₹767.6 crore in revenue for Q3 FY24, marking a 14.8% YoY growth, while net profit rose 4.7% YoY to ₹65 crore. However, EBITDA declined by 6.6% YoY to ₹121 crore, leading to a margin contraction from 19.4% to 15.8%.
Technically, RailTel remains in a strong downtrend, consistently forming lower highs and lower lows, with ₹274.25 acting as a critical support level. A decisive breakdown below this could accelerate selling toward ₹260-265, while the next major support lies near ₹245. The stock is trading well below key moving averages (9 EMA, 70 EMA, 100 EMA), confirming sustained bearish momentum. RSI remains weak, hovering below 30, and the MACD bearish crossover signals continued downside pressure. Unless RAILTEL reclaims ₹297.75 and sustains above ₹320 with strong volume, any pullback is likely to be a selling opportunity. Short positions remain favorable below ₹274.25, with a strict stop-loss at ₹285, while fresh longs should be avoided until a clear reversal is confirmed.
