Waaree Energies Clarifies US Customs Findings, Says Operations Remain Uninterrupted
Waaree Energies Ltd ($WAAREEENER) has clarified that the recent determination by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) does not conclude that the company exported solar modules manufactured using Chinese-origin cells to the United States. Following an on-site inspection of its manufacturing facility in India, the CBP confirmed that no such exports had taken place. The company stated that it fully cooperated with the investigation, no adverse inference was drawn against it, and the petitioner's request to extend an evasion finding to all of Waaree's US imports was rejected. According to Waaree, the determination is limited to a specific set of historical import entries and does not represent a final decision under US law. The company plans to pursue all available legal remedies, including a de novo administrative review and, if necessary, a judicial review before the US Court of International Trade. Meanwhile, Waaree emphasized that its US business remains unaffected, with manufacturing, customer deliveries and commercial operations continuing as normal. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to regulatory compliance and stated that it will continue cooperating with the relevant authorities while providing updates as the matter progresses.
