has signed a multi-year contract with Saudi Arabia’s National Grid SA to modernise its smart meter infrastructure. The company will build and manage a smart meter data management system aimed at improving grid reliability, reducing downtime, and optimising energy use. From a financial standpoint, Wipro reported a 2% sequential decline in revenue (in constant currency) for Q1FY26, in line with its guided range of -3.5% to -1.5%.
Operating margins improved to 17.5%, showing cost discipline despite the revenue dip. Total bookings for the quarter rose 24.1% QoQ to $4.97 billion, reflecting strong deal momentum. Wipro’s ADRs gained nearly 4% post-results, as investors responded positively to the company’s stable execution and growing order book.
