Titan: A Strong Brand Does Not Justify Every Valuation

TITAN
Titan has exposure to jewellery, watches and other lifestyle categories. Its brand portfolio creates opportunities, but investors must still assess the price they pay for future growth. My checklist: 1. Consumer demand: Household spending and jewellery demand influence sales. 2. Same-store growth: Existing-store performance helps distinguish genuine demand from expansion. 3. Gold prices: Price movements can affect jewellery affordability, inventory values and customer purchasing decisions. 4. Valuation: Expected earnings growth should justify the current market price. The important distinction A quality business and an attractive stock are not always the same thing. Even strong earnings growth may disappoint investors if expectations are already too high. My view I would monitor sales growth, margins and valuation together. The objective is to identify sustainable earnings potential rather than buying simply because the brand is popular.
