Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has won an ₹8,500 crore (US$ 904.26 million) inter-state power transmission project in Andhra Pradesh through the government's Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) system. Set for completion within 30 months, the project will be executed via a Special Purpose Vehicle, Vizag Power Transmission Limited. It is designed to meet a massive 4,500 MW power demand to supply incoming green hydrogen and green ammonia developments in Visakhapatnam, while also fueling the growing electricity needs of data centers, AI infrastructure, and digital connectivity along the Pendurthi–Visakhapatnam corridor. This contract adds 1,582 circuit kilometres (ckm) and 10,500 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL's portfolio, expanding its total network to 29,531 ckm and 1,33,675 MVA. The expansion solidifies AESL’s standing as India's largest private power transmission company.
