German specialty chemicals firm LANXESS has formed a strategic alliance with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to promote aviation and industrial lubricants throughout India and the SAARC area. The accord, formalized via a memorandum of understanding (MoU), seeks to enhance the accessibility of cutting-edge lubricant solutions in crucial industrial and aviation sectors. The partnership will investigate short-term, medium-term, and long-term marketing and business development opportunities while enhancing local availability of high-quality LANXESS-branded lubricants. The collaboration signifies the increasing need for high-performance lubricants in India's developing aviation and industrial sectors. LANXESS suggests that the partnership with HPCL is anticipated to improve quality and availability in the nation's fast-expanding aviation and industrial sectors. Mr. Neelanjan Banerjee, Senior Vice President and Global Head of LANXESS Lubricant Additives business unit, mentioned that the partnership would enhance growth prospects in India’s vibrant industrial environment. LANXESS' additives division provides a broad range of synthetic base stocks, additives, and finished fluids for aviation, automotive, and industrial uses across various brands. HPCL Executive Director for Lubes, Mr. Srinivas Ch, emphasized that HPCL’s robust position in the domestic market, along with LANXESS’ technical knowledge, would facilitate growth in aviation and industrial sectors. The alliance further emphasizes the growing cooperation between international specialty chemical firms and Indian energy companies to enhance industrial advancement and supply chain effectiveness in the area.
