India and the United States have been boosting their dialogue initiatives to strengthen an India-US Energy Corridor, concentrating on India's energy needs fueled by growth during a high-level roundtable meeting in Houston. Hosted by the India Consulate in Houston and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) during the Global Energy Outlook 2026, the private meeting included more than 30 senior leaders from prominent energy, engineering, and technology firms like ExxonMobil, Chevron, Honeywell, GAIL, Larsen & Toubro, Weatherford, and S&P Global. The aim was to recognize shared difficulties, investment prospects, and policy choices that can facilitate collaborative initiatives in the long run. Consul General Mr. D.C. Manjunath underscored that India’s goal to maintain its rapid economic growth relies on having secure, reliable, and varied energy sources, which should be a priority in the nation's development strategy. The meeting emphasized the urgent attention on advancing LNG and natural gas infrastructure, boosting power generation capacity, improving transmission systems, and encouraging cleaner technologies and digital innovations within the energy sector value chain to meet the growing demand from the manufacturing and data center industries. The roundtable discussion also revisited the February 2026 India-US trade framework, which identified energy and technology partnerships as essential for the economic growth of both nations.
