Cutting-edge waste-to-energy facilities can transform non-recyclable waste into electricity or fuel, minimizing dependence on fossil fuels. Unmanaged waste presents health and financial hazards, since pollutants can taint waterways, harm ecosystems, and cause severe health issues, particularly for disadvantaged communities. In contrast, sustainable waste management practices indicate robust governance and proactive risk mitigation for investors. The growth of waste management sectors could generate millions of jobs throughout India, encompassing waste collection, sorting, processing, and manufacturing. This can create possibilities for a diverse array of employees, such as unskilled workers, technicians, engineers, and business owners. Small businesses in recycling and composting are currently offering jobs to underprivileged communities, and expanding these activities can enhance local economies. Sustainable waste management practices also bolster India's dedication to environmental sustainability and green development by minimizing pollution, decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, and preserving natural resources, aligning with global accords such as the Paris Climate Agreement.
