India's wealth generation maintains its swift rise, featuring a historic 358 dollar-billionaires and 1,687 people valued at over Rs. 1,000 crore (US$ 112.7 million), as per the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025. Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, heads with a family fortune of Rs. 9,50,000 crore (US$ 107 billion), succeeded by the Chairman of the Adani Group, Mr. Gautam Adani, at Rs. 8,15,000 crore (US$ 91.8 billion). Chairperson of HCLTech, Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, ranks among the top three as India’s wealthiest woman with Rs. 2,84,000 crore (US$ 32 billion), while Mr. Aravind Srinivas, 31, CEO and co-founder of Perplexity AI, became the youngest billionaire at Rs. 21,190 crore (US$ 2.39 billion).
The list showcases India's rising tech billionaires, self-made businesspeople, and real estate moguls, featuring 58 new billionaires this year, averaging one each week. The total wealth of India’s richest individuals amounted to Rs. 1,67,00,000 crore (US$ 1.88 trillion), almost 50% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with Mumbai at the forefront having 451 listings. Prominent beneficiaries consist of Niraj Bajaj and his family, whose wealth surged by 43%, along with Indian actor, film producer, and TV figure, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, who is entering the billionaire ranks at Rs. 12,490 crore (US$ 1.41 billion).
