India stands out as the leading logistics center in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

India is swiftly becoming the top choice for warehousing in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) area, with almost 70% of occupiers intending to grow their logistics presence in the nation in the next two years, as per CBRE’s 2025 India Logistics Occupier Survey. The report indicates increasing tenant confidence fueled by changing global supply chain approaches, heightened domestic demand, and improved logistics infrastructure. More than 80% of Indian respondents, comprising both local and global companies, indicated plans for expansion, highlighting India’s strategic importance despite macroeconomic challenges. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer- India, South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE, Mr. Anshuman Magazine, remarked that the logistics industry in India is experiencing a transformation driven by macroeconomic stability, rapid infrastructure growth, and a transition towards scalable and sustainable facilities. Approximately 84% of participants expressed a preference for modern, investment-grade facilities that feature automation and adhere to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. ESG factors and technology are now crucial in logistics choices, with 57% investing in automated storage and retrieval systems while emphasizing attributes such as green certifications and intelligent energy systems. Cities such as Nagpur, Coimbatore, Indore, Lucknow, and Jaipur are rising as important logistics centers, providing cost-effectiveness and connectivity. India is set to become APAC’s premier logistics hub, as warehousing inventory is projected to double by 2030, bolstered by government initiatives like the Gati Shakti master plan and National Logistics Policy.
