KPI Green Energy has commenced the production and distribution of electricity from its 200 MW AC/240 MW DC solar project linked to the grid in Khavda, Gujarat. The project, granted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) via a competitive bidding process, has been effectively connected to the grid and commenced power supply to the Gujarat grid under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). This is intended to guarantee reliable and consistent cash flows for the business. Being among the initial solar initiatives launched in the 1.8 GW GSECL Solar Park (South Block) at Khavda, the project will bolster Gujarat's dedication to expanding the adoption of renewable energy and maintaining a reliable power grid. The project's commercial launch signifies a key achievement in KPI Green Energy’s plan to grow its Independent Power Producer operations and enhance its involvement in large-scale solar and hybrid initiatives in India. As power generation commences, the project is anticipated to continuously enhance KPI Green Energy’s profitability, securing the company's long-term financial stability via offtake agreements.
