Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, emphasized the value of quality and excellence in manufacturing and services and called on the Indian industry to actively promote "Viksit Bharat," the vision of a developed nation. Speaking at a conference hosted by the Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM), he stated that teamwork in line with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's vision is necessary to achieve economic, social, infrastructure, and inclusive progress.
He emphasized that India needs to be known throughout the world for creating goods and services of the greatest caliber while fostering the growth of the whole ecosystem among all parties involved in order to promote sustainable development.
He pointed out that supply chain interruptions, workforce mobility concerns, geopolitical conflicts, and global macroeconomic uncertainty all play a part in India's growth trajectory. He emphasized that industry needs to step up and actively engage in nation-building while the government implements important changes. He emphasized the importance of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and urged them to improve their quality in order to support India's manufacturing sector and keep the country moving in the direction of development.
