The PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS NMP), launched in October 2021, is a unified geospatial platform designed to streamline infrastructure planning and execution across 58 Central Ministries, all 36 States and UTs, and various key sectors such as railways, roads, ports, and energy. By integrating satellite imagery, APIs, and nearly 1,800 data layers, the platform facilitates data-driven decision-making and synchronized project delivery without requiring a separate central budget. To date, the Network Planning Group has evaluated 396 projects worth ₹18.66 lakh crore (US$ 207.39 billion), leading to 256 project sanctions and 198 ongoing implementations funded through existing ministry allocations. The ecosystem was further expanded in September 2025 with a public platform that grants private players access to data analytics for infrastructure planning. Assessments by the DPIIT and NCAER indicate that these coordinated initiatives have significantly enhanced logistics efficiency and industrial competitiveness, reducing India's logistics costs to 7.9% of GDP in 2025.
