Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in Ghana Parliament: Strong India will contribute to more stable and prosperous world
During his two-day official visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed India's commitment to promoting world peace, prosperity, and stability in his speech to the Ghanaian Parliament. He maintained that India is a bastion of strength in a changing global order since it is the biggest democracy in the world and the fastest-growing emerging economy. He stressed India's potential to contribute to a more inclusive and balanced global future, reiterating the country's impending ascension as the world's third-largest economy and highlighting its political stability and good governance. The world order that emerged after World War II no longer mirrors today's realities, so he urged for reliable and successful changes to the framework of international governance. He cited seismic shifts like technological advancements, the emergence of the Global South, and demographic changes as drivers for the need for a revised global framework. He reiterated India's commitment to speaking for and representing the aspirations of the Global South in international decision-making fora, emphasizing that sustainable progress cannot be made without amplifying the voice of developing countries.
