The government has provided countless advantages by utilizing technology, said Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi mentioned that over the past 11 years, the government has provided various advantages to citizens by effectively utilizing technology. He pointed out that the incorporation of digital systems has greatly improved service delivery, fostered transparency, and empowered the most underprivileged groups in society. More than Rs. 44,00,000 crore (US$ 514.50 billion) has been directly transferred to beneficiaries through 322 schemes across 56 ministries, thanks to the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which has also contributed to savings of over Rs. 3,48,000 crore (US$ 40.69 billion) by preventing leakages. With more than 94 crore broadband connections and 120 crore telephone subscribers, India's tele-density increased from 75% in 2014 to 85% in 2025. The Digital India initiative, bolstered by efforts like the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, CoWIN vaccination platform, and government e-marketplaces, has transformed governance into a more transparent and accessible framework. India is now recognized as one of the most affordable mobile data providers in the world, facilitating extensive digital inclusion. The launch of 393 foreign satellites by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the implementation of real-time digital payments in remote regions exemplify India's rise as a global technology leader. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi stressed that technology goes beyond platforms; it is about empowering citizens and achieving a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
