Jubilant FoodWorks Q1 FY26 – Delivery-Led Turnaround Amid Margin Pressure

Quarter in Focus (Q1 FY26):

JUBLFOOD
Revenue rose ~17% YoY to ₹2,260.8 cr—driven primarily by Domino’s India business, clocking ~17.7% growth and ~11.6% like-for-like sales growth, with delivery up ~20.1%. Net Profit surged ~64% YoY to ₹91.7 cr (₹91.8 cr)—significantly ahead of analyst projections (estimates were ₹64.6 cr). EBITDA climbed ~14% YoY to ₹437.7 cr, with EBITDA margin marginally contracting to 19.4% from 19.8% due to costs in enhancing delivery infrastructure. Strategies Driving Growth: Sustained delivery-first focus—value combos, fee waivers for app-based orders, and 20-minute delivery in key metros. Q4 FY25: Added 52 new Domino’s stores, total outlets reached 2,179. Q1 FY26: Store network expanded further, with outlets swelling to 3,387. Key Learnings: Delivery capabilities matter — In a constrained demand environment, a strong delivery strategy helped Jubilant outperform peers. Topline beats, margin still a concern — Revenue and profit growth are robust, but margin compression suggests cost control needs attention. Execution over gimmicks — Value deals and optimized operations (like in-house delivery) beat mere promotion-heavy strategies.
