Dilip Buildcon Emerges L1 for ₹1,265 Crore Project

Dilip Buildcon has been declared the L1 bidder by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) for an intra-state electricity transmission project in Maharashtra. The EPC value is ₹1,265 crore, excluding GST. Project Scope The project involves establishing a 400 kV GIS Solapur/Paranda Switching Station in Dharashiv district. It will be developed under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model through the tariff-based competitive bidding route. Dilip Buildcon will acquire 100% equity in the project SPV and act as the Transmission Service Provider, with responsibilities covering development, financing, design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance. Execution Timeline Construction and commissioning are scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the effective date. Following commercial operation, the transmission system will be operated for 35 years. The latest project adds to Dilip Buildcon’s recent diversification into infrastructure segments beyond its traditional road-construction business, including its ₹1,800 crore LPG pipeline project announced earlier in September.
