Market wrap and Analysis 15 May 2025

Welcome to market wrap. Today we will see how was the market today, how was the index performance today, which sectors were in trend today, and what is the trend of the market in the coming time. So, let's start with Nifty. So, Nifty increased by 1.6% today, today there was an expiry too, so on the day of expiry, we saw a wild up move. In the morning, the market was negative, but from low, the market showed a recovery of approximately 600 points. So, when on Tuesday, on the day of expiry of Sensex, the market came down, we discussed that this is a fake play, Nifty will continue its uptrend. We said that because if on the day of uptrend, especially on the day of expiry, the market is down, and if the broader market is not down, then it is mostly a fake movie, and it was proven to be so. So, Nifty increased by 1.6% today. Now let's look at Nifty Next 50. Nifty Next 50 also increased by 1% today, and Nifty Next 50 is also going to cross its 24th April high. Small cap had already crossed its 24th April high yesterday, which is a bullish sign for the small cap also, and today small caps are also increasing by 0.75%. Mid cap is the first index which had breached its 24th April high. Mid cap index also increased by 0.7% today. Now, let's look at the sectors. Which sectors increased the most today? So mostly every sector was in green today. The most top gainer today was again Nifty Defence. Now, let's look at the market trend. The market trend is positive. Nifty 500 is trading above its 21-day moving average. On Monday, after the war, there was a 4% rally in the market. Then the market consolidated for 2 days. Today, there is an overall fresh breakout. So, this up move will continue. It is possible that the market will be sideways for 1-2 days. Because if we look at this week, the overall market is 5% up in this week. So, it is possible that the market will be sideways for 2-3 days. But you should only look for bullish trades in the market.
