Where Did Mutual Fund Money Flow in April? Sectoral Surprises & ETF Gains

In April, overall Indian stock market increased by approximately 3%. So, today, mutual fund data has come. There are many amazing insights of that data. Let's discuss that data one by one. So, in April month, the net inflows were 3% decline from March month. In March, it was 25,000 crores and in April it was 24,250 crores. A decline of approximately 3%. But, the asset under management reached approximately 67 lakh crores to 70 lakh crores in April month. Because, we saw recovery in the market in April month. Now, let's discuss this segment by segment. Large cap, mid cap, small cap, sectoral and how the inflows were in ETF. So, the most amazing numbers are of ETF. In March ETF, the net inflows were 11,000 crores. But, in April it was 19,000 crores. An increase of 70%. And, the sectoral and thematic funds have also seen a lot of increase. In April, it was 2,000 crores. Whereas, in March, it was only 170 crores. Now, let's discuss large cap, mid cap and small cap. In large cap, in April month, the inflows increased by 8%. In mid cap, the inflows decreased by 3.5%. And, in small cap, the inflows decreased by 2.5%.
