Tonbo Imaging India ipo analysis with view

Tonbo Imaging India is launching its IPO between October 15 and 19 at a fixed price of ₹700 per share. The company manufactures defense-oriented imaging and sensing equipment, including night vision and heat sensors. While the offering seeks to raise ₹852 crore, the majority of this capital represents an exit for early shareholders and promoters. The financial performance presents a mixed picture. While the company maintains an EBITDA margin around 20%, revenue growth stalled in 2026, which management attributes to geopolitical conflicts in West Asia. The company is currently aggressively building inventory through working capital loans, yet its tender win ratio has significantly declined. With an IPO valuation set at a 55x to 80x PE ratio based on past earnings, and market sentiment pushing potential listing valuations toward a 90x to 140x PE, the stock appears priced for high growth expectations. Investors should exercise caution as this hype may be fueled by exiting insiders. Given the uncertainty surrounding margin compression on domestic orders versus foreign ones, a strict IPO exit strategy with a defined stop-loss is recommended.
