Q4FY25: Net profit up 14% in Q4FY2025, in line with street’s estimates
The income from operation of Bajaj Finserv increased 13.83% to Rs 36596 crore in Q4FY2025. The revenue of Insurance (49.15% of total revenues) segment has gone up 7.41% to Rs 18,292.23 crore. The revenue of Windmill (0.01% of total revenues) segment has gone down 3.74% to Rs 2.83 crore. The revenue of Investments & Others (1.21% of total revenues) segment has gone down 4.90% to Rs 450.34 crore. The revenue of Retail financing (49.63% of
total revenues) segment has gone up 23.67% to Rs 18,468.74. crore.
PBIT of Insurance segment fell 4.83% to Rs 648.05 crore (accounting for 10.80% of total PBIT). PBIT of Windmill reported profit of Rs 2.83 crore (accounting for 0.05% of total PBIT) compared to loss of Rs 0.46 crore. PBIT of Investments & Others reported loss of Rs 264.76 crore (accounting for (-)4.41% of total PBIT) compared to loss of Rs 247.87 crore. PBIT of Retail financing segment rose 10.25% to Rs 5,616.20 crore (accounting for 93.57% of total PBIT).
The Capital employed for Insurance (4.37% of total) segment has gone up 5.71% to Rs 21,059.88 crore. The Capital employed for Windmill (0.01% of total) segment has gone down 21.66% to Rs 32.05 crore. The Capital employed for Investments & Others (0.42% of total) segment has gone up 26.96% to Rs 2,003.73 crore. The Capital employed for Retail financing (95.21% of total) segment has gone up 24.35% to Rs 459,211.50 crore.
Overall OPM has increased to 35.05% in Q4FY2025 from 34.27% in Q4FY2024, leading to 16.42% rise in operating profit to Rs 12,727.50 crore. Other expenditure as a percentage of total income moved down to 49.89% from 52.84% in Q4FY2025. The staff cost as a percentage of total income declined to 8.67% from 8.81% in Q4FY2025.
