Bajaj Finance Q2 new loans rise 11% YoY...
Bajaj Finance Limited booked 13.45 million new loans in Q2 FY27, up 11% from 12.17 million in Q2 FY26. Its customer franchise reached 128.85 million as of September 30, 2026.
The stronger loan volume was accompanied by 26.5% growth in assets under management to about ₹5.85 lakh crore. This indicates that customer acquisition and lending activity remained strong during the quarter.
My view: the combination of higher loan volumes and AUM growth points to continued expansion in the lending franchise. However, the quality of this growth matters more than volume alone. Credit costs, funding costs and asset quality will determine how much of this growth converts into earnings.
I will watch the detailed Q2 results and management commentary for signs of margin pressure or changes in credit quality.
