Piramal Finance Q2 profit rises 67%Piramal Finance Q2 profit

Piramal Finance Limited (NSE: PIRAMALFIN) reported consolidated profit after tax of ₹545 crore for Q2 FY27, up 67% year-on-year from ₹327 crore. Revenue increased 27% to ₹3,659 crore, while net interest income rose 35% to ₹1,530 crore. Assets under management grew 24% to ₹1.13 lakh crore, and net interest margin improved to 6.5%. Why it matters Profit and net interest income are growing faster than the loan book. This suggests improved income generation, but sustained growth will depend on funding costs, credit quality and the ability to maintain margins as the business expands. My view The results show strong earnings growth. However, one quarter is not enough to establish that this pace is sustainable. The next results should show whether asset quality remains stable alongside growth. What to watch next: Credit cost, gross NPA and net interest margin in the next quarterly results. Stance: Monitor earnings quality and asset quality before drawing a stronger conclusion. !
