“Why Candle Closes Matter More Than Intraday Spikes”

A price level can be crossed temporarily without producing a meaningful change in market structure. This is why traders often pay attention to where a candle closes rather than reacting immediately to every intraday movement. A temporary move above resistance may attract attention, but if price closes back below the level, the breakout may not have achieved acceptance. Similarly, a temporary move below support followed by a strong close back above the zone can provide different information about market behavior. The candle close should still be considered within the broader context of trend, structure, volume and the importance of the price level. No single candle can guarantee what happens next, but the closing position can help distinguish temporary price movement from sustained acceptance or rejection. Learning: Do not make a major conclusion from an intraday spike alone. Observe where price ultimately closes and how the following candles behave.
